
HP unveiled its new netbook designed for students between kindergarten and 6th grade. HP Mini 100e Education Edition features strong plastic chassis with steel pins, a spill-resistant keyboard, and an LED on the back of the lid so that teachers can see when there’s network activity. Other specifications of this laptop are usual for other present-day netbooks. The Mini 100e has a 10.1 inch display with 1024×600 pixel resolution, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, GMA 3150 graphics system, 1GB DRR3 RAM, 160 GB hard drive, two USB 2.0 ports, SD memory card slot (also supports MMC), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, VGA output, 1.3 Mp webcam, Bluetooth. It will be available with Windows XP Home, Windows 7 Starter, or SUSE Linux 11 operating system. HP Mini 100e Education Edition will become available for $300 in the beginning of July.
