LG Optimus Pad LTE

LG Electronics has just announced its next Optimus Pad series device. This tablet also has 8.9-inch IPS touchscreen with 1280x768px resolution but its list of specifications differs from the first generation device’s one. LG Optimus Pad LTE is based on 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (but not on NVIDIA Tegra 2), supports fourth generation networks and has 32GB internal storage, MicroSD card slot, HDMI output, 8MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera for video calls, 6800mAh battery. The operating system is Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

Sony Ericsson Arc HD photos and specs

GSMArena has just published a list of specifications and some pictures of coming Sony Ericsson Arc HD smartphone that is also known as Sony Ericsson Nozomi. The device features 4.3-inch touchscreen with 1280x720px resolution and 12MP camera supporting Full HD video recording. Sony Ericsson Arc HD is based on 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that will soon be updated to Android 4.0 ICS. The smartphone also has Adreno 220 graphics accelerator, 1GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage, HDMI output. It is expected that Sony Ericsson will officially announce this smartphone at CES 2012 exhibition.


Lenovo showed its new smartphon

Together with LePad S2005 Lenovo also announced its new smartphone – Lenovo LePhone S2. It is based on 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 chip and runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system. The device is equipped with 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8MP camera with HD video recording support, MicroSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphones jack. Lenovo LePhone S2 will be available in two versions – the first one has 512MB RAM and 8GB ROM while the second one has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

Motorola Droid 4: official photo and specs

Droid Life source published official photos and a list of specifications of coming Motorola’s flagship device. Motorola Droid 4 is a horizontal slider with five-row QWERTY keyboard.

It is based on 1.2GHz dual-core processor and is equipped with 4-inch 540x960px touchscreen, 1GB RAM, 8MP camera supporting Full HD 1080p video recording, front-facing camera for video calls, 1785mAh battery. There are also such usual modules as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphones jack, light and proximity sensors, accelerometer, MicroSD external memory card slot. At present moment Motorola Droid 4 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread but soon it will get Android Ice Cream Sandwich Update. It is expected that Motorola will officially introduce this smartphone next week.

Coming HTC Zeta Android ICS smartphone

Engadget has just published a picture of unannounced HTC’s smartphone. It is code name is HTC Zeta. It is said that the device is based on a 2.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. The list of other specifications includes 1GB RAM, 4.5-inch touchscreen with HD resolution, 32GB internal storage, 8MP camera supporting Full HD video recording, front-facing 1.3MP camera for video calls. HTC Zeta also has Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, 1830mAh battery. The dimensions are 110х61х9.8mm, the weigh is 146g. Probably HTC will show this smartphone at MWC 2011 exhibition.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime – the first Tegra 3 tablet

Today ASUS officially announced Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet that is the world’s first device based on NVIDIA Tegra 3 system-on-chip. Like its predecessor, original Eee Pad Transformer, this tablet comes with a doc-station transforming this device to a netbook. The tablet runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb but ASUS promises to release Android Ice Cream Sandwich update in next few weeks.


ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is equipped with 10.1-inch 1280x800px Super IPS+ touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, 1GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, MicroSD card slot, 8MP camera with LED flash, front-facing 1.2MP camera for video calls, 3.5mm headphones jack, microHDMI output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, gyroscope, light sensor.

In US ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime with 32GB memory will cost about $500, 64GB version will be sold for $600. The doc-station is equipped with USB port, cardreader, additional battery and will be sold separately for $150.

Samsung Galaxy Note will become available in next few days. To arouse potential buyers’ enthusiasm Samsung published the first commercial video showing some unique functions of this coming device.

Samsung Galaxy Note is a hybrid of a smartphone and a tablet. New LG’s smartphone featuring HD screen and LTE support

Today LG announced Optimus LTE smartphone. As its name says this device features LTE and HSPA+ networks. Another feature is 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen with 1280x720px resolution. The device also supports DNLA networks. The dimensions are 133х68х10.4mm, the weight is 135g.

HTC Amaze 4G – the first HTC’s smartphone with NFC chip

Today HTC showed its first smartphone supporting NFC technology. HTC Amaze 4G runs on Google Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS and is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 dual-core chip with 1.5GHz clock. The device has 4.3-inch touchscreen with 960x540px resolution, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP camera, 2MP camera for video calls, 1730mAh battery. There are also such usual modules as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, accelerometer, MicroSD card slot. The dimensions are 130х66х11.8mm. HTC Amaze 4G will become available in next two weeks and will be sold by T-Mobile for $260 with two-year contract.

Huawei Honor Android Gingerbread smartphone

Huawei has just announced its new smartphone. In contrast to many other company’s devices this one belongs not to middle class but to high-end one. Huawei Honor is based on 1.4GHz processor and runs on Google Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. The device is equipped with 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with 480x854px resolution, 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 8MP camera, front-facing 2MP camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, MicroSD card slot. The battery of this smartphone has 1900mAh capacity and provides about three days of work time. In the fourth quarter of 2011 Huawei Honor will become available in China and some other countries. Some weeks later it will be release in other regions.
