Yesterday Archos unleashed its five new devices. Some of them can be ascribed to PMPs with 2.8- and 3.2-inch screens, others belong to tablets class. Nevertheless all of them are powered by Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo mobile operating system.

Archos 101 is the most advanced device from new devices line. It features 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor that provides HD video (720p) and 3D content playback. Other specifications of this tablet include 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen with 1024x600px resolution, 8GB or 16GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VGA camera, HDMI output. Archos 101 will become available in October and will cost $300.

In contrast to Archos 101 this Android tablet has smaller screen – 7 inch capacitive display with 800x480px resolution, 8GB NAND flash storage or 250GB hard drive. It is also know that Archos 70 has 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP supports, HDMI output. This device will be also launched in October but will less than Archos 101 – $275.

Archos 43 has 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 4.3 inch resistive touch screen with 480x854px resolution, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MicroSD external memory card slot, accelerometer, 3.5mm headphones jack, HDMI interface, 3MP camera that supports HD video (720p) recording support. Archos 43 will be release in the first half of October. The price is 199.

Archos 32 is much closer to portable media players than other three devices. It is equipped with 3.2 inch resistive touch screen with 400x240px resolution, 800MHz processor, 0.3MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, 8 GB internal storage, MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack. Archos 32 Android tablet will be released in September and will cost $150.

The specifications of Archos 28 are very similar. It has the same processor, but has no camera and Bluetooth modules. The screen has 2.8 inch diagonal (not 3.2). This tablet also has 4 GB internal storage, microSD card slot (up to 16 GB). This device will be available for $100. It release is expected to be in next few weeks.
