As it had been expected Huawei showed its new flagship smartphone positioned as the world’s most high-powered smartphone. Huawei Ascend D quad features a quad-core ARM processor with 1.5GHz clock. It is surprising that the platform is not Tegra 3 but own Huawei’s product – K3V2. Moreover due to power consumption reducing technology this device has 30% longer battery life than other quad-core devices have. Huawei Ascend D quad has 4.5-inch touchscreen with 720x1280px resolution, 8MP camera, front-facing 1.3MP camera for video calls, Wi-Fi. Bluetooth, GPS, MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack, 1800mAh batter. The thickness of the device is only 8.9mm. There will be also a version of the device – Ascend D quad XL. It will have 2500mAh battery and 10.9mm body. Huawei Ascend D quad will become available till the end of the second quarter of 2012.

Yesterday Panasonic announced its new smartphone designed for Europe and US – Panasonic ELUGA. In spite of the fact that it is rugged device (its body is water, dust and shock resistant) the smartphone is very thin – 7.8mm and looks very stylish. The device is based on 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4430 processor and runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that will be soon updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Panasonic ELUGA has 4.3-inch aHD (540x960px) OLED touchscreen, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8MP AF camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC chip, 3.5mm headphones jack, 1150mAh battery. Supported network standards are 3G/WCDMA/HSPA (14.4/5.76 Mbps), HSPA+ (21 Mbps), GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz. The dimensions of the device are 62х123х7.8mm, the weight is 103g. In Europe Panasonic ELUGA will become available in April.

LG Electronics has just announced its next Optimus Pad series device. This tablet also has 8.9-inch IPS touchscreen with 1280x768px resolution but its list of specifications differs from the first generation device’s one. LG Optimus Pad LTE is based on 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (but not on NVIDIA Tegra 2), supports fourth generation networks and has 32GB internal storage, MicroSD card slot, HDMI output, 8MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera for video calls, 6800mAh battery. The operating system is Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

GSMArena has just published a list of specifications and some pictures of coming Sony Ericsson Arc HD smartphone that is also known as Sony Ericsson Nozomi. The device features 4.3-inch touchscreen with 1280x720px resolution and 12MP camera supporting Full HD video recording. Sony Ericsson Arc HD is based on 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that will soon be updated to Android 4.0 ICS. The smartphone also has Adreno 220 graphics accelerator, 1GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage, HDMI output. It is expected that Sony Ericsson will officially announce this smartphone at CES 2012 exhibition.
Droid Life source published official photos and a list of specifications of coming Motorola’s flagship device. Motorola Droid 4 is a horizontal slider with five-row QWERTY keyboard.

Engadget has just published a picture of unannounced HTC’s smartphone. It is code name is HTC Zeta. It is said that the device is based on a 2.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 user interface. The list of other specifications includes 1GB RAM, 4.5-inch touchscreen with HD resolution, 32GB internal storage, 8MP camera supporting Full HD video recording, front-facing 1.3MP camera for video calls. HTC Zeta also has Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, 1830mAh battery. The dimensions are 110х61х9.8mm, the weigh is 146g. Probably HTC will show this smartphone at MWC 2011 exhibition.

Today ASUS officially announced Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet that is the world’s first device based on NVIDIA Tegra 3 system-on-chip. Like its predecessor, original Eee Pad Transformer, this tablet comes with a doc-station transforming this device to a netbook. The tablet runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb but ASUS promises to release Android Ice Cream Sandwich update in next few weeks.

In US ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime with 32GB memory will cost about $500, 64GB version will be sold for $600. The doc-station is equipped with USB port, cardreader, additional battery and will be sold separately for $150.
Samsung Galaxy Note will become available in next few days. To arouse potential buyers’ enthusiasm Samsung published the first commercial video showing some unique functions of this coming device.

Today Samsung published official pictures of two coming smartphones – Focus S and Focus Flash. Both mobile devices runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system and will become available in AT&T’s shops in the beginning of December.

Samsung Focus S is based on 1.4GHz singled-core processor by Qualcomm and is based on 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, 512MB RAM, 8MP camera with LED flash, front-facing 1.3MP camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS module, 3.5mm headphones jack. The body of this phone is 8.6mm thick.

Samsung Focus Flash has 3.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and 5MP camera with LED flash. In other respects this smartphone is identical to the Focus S.

Today Nokia announced its new mobile device. Nokia 603 is a simple smartphone described as a combination of good performance and impressive functionality. The device is quite compact and looks very stylish. One of the features of this phone is its 3.5-inch 360x640px ClearBlack IPS touchscreen protected by scratch-resistant glass.

Nokia 603 is based on 1GHz processor and runs on Symbian Belle operating system.
