
Nokia has just announced its budget class smartphone. Nokia C5 is the first mobile device from new Nokia’s Cseries line. It has monoblock shape and runs on Symbian S60 3rd edition operating system. One of the notable features of this device is contact list. It provides an opportunity to check view the status of friends in popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter. You can also change your status in Facebook, adding to information about your location using Ovi Maps 3.0. The main phone screen displays the three most used contacts. This widget allows you to call these people or send them a message via Google Talk or Windows Live Messenger.

Today Motorola officially announced its new smartphone - Motorola Quench. In some countries it will be available as Motorola Cliq XT. This mobile device runs on Google Android 1.5 operating system with MOTOBLUR user interface. Supported network standards are GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, WCDMA/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 MHz. Other characteristics are 3.1 inch touch screen with 320×480 px resolution, 5 Mp camera with autofocus and flash, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM, microSD memory card slot (up to 32 Gb), Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 3.5 mm headphones jack, GPS, accelerometer and 1420 mAh battery. Motorola Quench measures 116.7×59.4×12.3 mm and weights 123.5 g. This mobile device will become available next months.

Together with Nuvifone A50 Garmin-Asus announced one more smartphone. Nuvifone M10 will become available in Europe and Asia by the end of the second quarter of this year. But it will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. This smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system with pre-installed UI. HTC Trophy runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and has 3 inch touch screen with 640×480 px resolution, 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 256 Mb RAM, 5 Mp camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3.5 mm audio jack. To all appearances HTC Trophy belongs to middle class device and will cost about $300.

The battery has 1230 mAh capacity and provides up to 10 hours of talk time and 7 hours of video playback. The dimensions of the case are 112×56x11.7 mm. According to some sources the Obsession will be released as HTC Touch Diamond 3.


According to pocketnow.com Microsoft is going to introduce Windows Mobile 7 on Mobile World Congress 2010 exhibition that will take place in February. The first device running on new operating system will be LG Apollo. This communicator will feature 10 Mp camera with HD video (1280х720) recording support and 3.8 inch touch AMOLED screen with multi-touch technology support (WM7 will support multi-touch). It is also said LG Apollo will have 1.3 GHz Qualcomm QSD8650 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 1 GB ROM, microSD memory card slot (up to 32GB), Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth modules.
